CATHOLIC FEAST DAY
(TLM at 7PM: San Secondo d’Asti)
Why we celebrate
We celebrate Corpus Christi because it honors the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist—His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity truly given to us under the appearance of bread and wine.
This feast was established to give the Church a dedicated day of joy, adoration, and public witness to the greatest gift Christ left us: Himself in the Eucharist.
It is a celebration of love made tangible—God choosing to remain physically present with His people in every tabernacle and every Mass throughout the world.
Corpus Christi reminds us that the Eucharist is not symbolic, but real:
Christ feeds us, sustains us, and unites us to Himself.
Since when
The feast was established in the 13th century (1264) by Pope Urban IV, inspired by the devotion of St. Juliana of Liège and Eucharistic miracles that renewed belief in the Real Presence.
It became one of the Church’s most important public processions and devotions.
How we can celebrate

Participate in or attend a Corpus Christi procession
